Project: Design / UX
Role: Creative Director
Company: Business Services Connect
Business Services Connect is a collective of companies that build, own and operate their own high-speed, high-reliability business telecommunications networks in local markets – and beyond. Sometimes it’s confusing to figure out what telecom provider serves what market. So, if someone is unsure which company to contact, Business Services Connect can help. This website provides a nationwide instant-locator tool that matches users up with companies in available in their markets.
As the lead designer and UX specialist for the Business Services Connect website, my involvement spans several years, during which we have undergone numerous rebranding and fine-tuning iterations. We prioritize user feedback by employing surveys, A/B testing, and other user-driven insights in every update we implement. Over time, our continuous efforts have substantially enhanced the website, leading to the generation of more qualified business-based leads.
Key focus areas have included the integration of a blog featuring content enriched with SEO keywords, the introduction of new site pages optimized for keyword searches, the development of a FAQ section, and the creation of a detailed About Us page. A comprehensive overhaul of the lead-generation form has catapulted lead generation to unprecedented levels, greatly satisfying our client.
Recently, we executed a transition from a Sitefinity-controlled website to a WordPress platform, creating substantial time and cost efficiencies for our client. While the shift to WordPress empowers us to manage day-to-day updates and enhancements, we maintain a close collaboration with the development team to introduce custom features, such as the two-step search mechanism for lead capture, delivering tailored results based on zip codes. This, in turn, ensures the ongoing satisfaction of top-tier MSOs like Optimum Business, Comcast Business, Cox Business, and Spectrum.
